Let us treat the future

Dig­i­ti­za­tion is find­ing its way into all areas of human activ­i­ty, trig­ger­ing major changes. For the sen­si­tive area of the health care sys­tem, this devel­op­ment opens up a spec­trum of com­plete­ly new pos­si­bil­i­ties and, at the same time, risks.

For exam­ple, while the dig­i­tal cap­ture of patient data and com­put­er-assist­ed ordi­na­tions, hos­pi­tals, and health­care facil­i­ties are well estab­lished mean­while, there are many areas of health­care, where dig­i­ti­za­tion, automa­tion, the imple­men­ta­tion of tech­nol­o­gy-assist­ed inter­ven­tions, and algo­rith­mic process­es will lead to mas­sive changes.

What does this mean for the future of the Aus­tri­an health­care system?

In the name of the Acad­e­mia Supe­ri­or, the Vinzenz Group and the Elis­a­bethi­nen Linz-Wien, this ques­tion was worked on in two work­shops in May 2019 with select­ed experts.
